SHIP provides free assistance to those who have problems or questions about their health insurance. This program, sponsored by the Illinois Department of Insurance, provides trained SHIP volunteers to answer questions on health insurance benefits and coverage, particularly Medicare, Medicare Supplements and long-term care insurance.
