Williams-Manny Horizon Group Provides Matching Grant to                             Lifescape Community Services

ROCKFORD, IL – On Monday, February 15, 2010, principals with Williams-Manny Horizon Group presented Lifescape Community Services with a check for $1,473 as a 10% matching grant.  The money allowed Lifescape to receive the remaining $13,255 from the Wal-Mart Foundation as part of the Wal-Mart Impact Grant Program through the Meals on Wheels Association of America.

The grant gives Lifescape the opportunity to purchase a new steam oven to be used in the preparation of food for the Meals on Wheels program and congregate dining sites throughout Winnebago, Boone, Ogle and Lee counties.  Thanks to the Wal-Mart Impact Grant Program, Lifescape will be able to add approximately 200 meals to the 3,000 already produced on a daily basis.

“A partnership like this allows for greater things to be accomplished,” says Lifescape Executive Director Carol Green.  And that’s why Williams-Manny Horizon Group agreed to contribute. “It’s an opportunity to help Lifescape give more to the community,” says Tracey Fults, Horizon Group Marketing Manager.

Fults and Brad Lewis of Williams-Manny Horizon Group, along with Williams-Manny Chief Operating Officer Dan Ross, was on hand to present the check to Lifescape Executive Director Carol Green and Chief Operating Officer Manny Carrasquillo.  Barb Shelly, Personnel Coordinator for the West Riverside Wal-Mart Store, was also part of the check presentation.
